#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The other day, Denis Manturov, first deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation, visited the techno lyceum, the Russian government’s Telegram channel reports.
The technolyceum has an important task – to train technology leaders in the interests of the country. The main areas of study are IT, modern technologies and engineering. The educational cluster is designed for schoolchildren aged 2.5 to 18 years.
Denis Manturov got acquainted with the lyceum’s infrastructure, gave a lecture on the technological leaders of the 21st century and answered the students’ questions about robotics and choosing a future profession.
“Now the work on national projects of technological leadership is being completed. They should strengthen the technological foundation on which you will build the Russia of the future. I am sure you can handle it. The main thing is to never lose your thirst for knowledge”, the first deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation instructed the students.
It should be added that the Moscow region techno lyceum sees its mission as training technology leaders in accordance with Russia’s national interests and focuses on the use of advanced technologies, studying engineering sciences, bilingual education and developing students’ leadership skills. Its founders are members of the Moscow region government and the Primakov regional gymnasium, and its partner is Nornickel.
As Dmitry Pristanskov, Nornickel’s state secretary and vice president, who also took part in the events at the techno lyceum, noted, it was important for the company to support this project:
“Nornickel is a socially oriented company, for us such projects represent an investment in the future. In addition, the techno lyceum is named after Vladimir Dolgih, a great man who made a huge contribution to the development of Norilsk and the Norilsk combine. His life, experience and work have become a colossal example for young people”.
He noted that in such educational institutions, where first-class practices of modern education are gathered, it is possible to raise true professionals in their field. This is extremely important, because a technological breakthrough is the key to the future of our country, Dmitry Pristanskov is sure:
“Moreover, we have gone further in our partnership and assistance to education and are creating a similar school in Norilsk, modern and adapted to the climate of the region. The V. I. Dolgih School of High Latitudes is the first school of the future in the Arctic, designed for 1,100 students. Like the techno lyceum, it will be equipped with everything necessary for the comprehensive development of the individual. We hope that its future graduates, after receiving further education, will return to Norilsk and will be of great benefit with their work. But even if they decide to work in other regions of the country, we are sure that they will contribute to the development of the country as a whole and those sectors of the national economy that they choose for themselves”.
Let us add that earlier the Norilsk city development council approved the architectural project of the multidisciplinary innovative educational complex for children named after V. I. Dolgih. The project is being implemented jointly with the Norilsk Development Agency.
