#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A Nornickel employee, Marina Budylina, reached the final of the Talented Woman in Modern Industry competition in the Social/Volunteer Project of the Year category. On October 10, the award ceremony for the participants took place in Moscow, where she was presented with a statuette and a diploma, as the Nornickel’s Telegram channel reports.
The goal of the Talented Woman in Modern Industry – 2024 award is to recognize the achievements of professional women who have made a significant contribution to the development of the industry, are an example for colleagues, and are active in social and charitable activities.
Marina admitted that she was not aware of becoming a finalist.
“Once a colleague asked for all the diplomas and certificates that I had, I gave them to her and forgot about it. And then after a while, I suddenly started receiving congratulations on my victory and only then found out that I had been applied into the competition, given a presentation about my activities, which the jury members marked”, Marina told This Is Taimyr.
This year, 630 applications from 64 industrial companies were submitted to the competition. When submitting competition forms, nominees and applicants had the opportunity to choose one of ten categories, designed in such a way that everyone could find their own direction. Marina was noted in volunteering and socially significant activities.
Marina is an active employee of Nornickel and not only constantly participates in various environmental and volunteer events of the company, but also in 2022 headed the team of hospital clowns Lough Therapists, who give their warmth and attention to everyone who needs it.
It is worth noting that, based on the results of the award, a total of 11 participants from Norilsk Nickel were awarded the jury prize. In addition to Marina Budylina, two more company employees from other cities of the company presence became winners.
