“We are sure that Norilsk has someone to be proud of. Our city is a keeper of amazing history and incredible destinies. It is a chronicle of the labor feat of a man-conqueror. It is a combination of contrasts: an industrial center and protected nature. Our predecessors, who were the first to set foot on the harsh northern land, did a lot: they built factories and houses, paved roads, gave warmth and light. By their heroic labor, Norilsk appeared in the middle of the endless snow-covered desert. We want to be thankful for all this”, the message of the NDA runs.
The Legends of the City project is mosaic panels on the houses facades, united by an artistic solution, dedicated to the nature of Taimyr and the people of Norilsk, their professions and achievements. The authors suggest that the Norilsk people decide together who or what will be included in the Legends of Norilsk, which streets will be decorated with modern mosaics next year.
For discussion, the townspeople are invited to the Kitchen of the City Ideas at the NDA. There they will tell about the project in detail and will present sketches prepared by the well-known to Norilsk people artist-monumentalist, author of the restored mosaics on Komsomolskaya street Pavel Yudin.
