#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. February 22, 2022 is a unique mirror date, which is also called the day of six twos. As a rule, newlyweds choose such dates for their wedding in the hope that a beautiful combination of numbers will bring a happy family life.
In the registry offices of many regions of Russia, the newlyweds began to reserve places for this day last year. So, according to Moskovsky Komsomolets ewspaper, in the capital in October more than two thousand couples applied for February 22. And in Novosibirsk, lovers began to reserve places in March 2021, in total 164 couples will get married that day.
Norilsk people, apparently, do not believe in the magic of numerology. As we told, in the city registry office, only one couple filed an application for February 22.
“Preliminarily, one couple will get married at the Norilsk marriage registry office on February 22. In previous years, for example, on 07/07/2007 or 08/08/2008 there were many applicants, but most of the couples have already divorced. From experience, I can say that a beautiful date does not solve anything”, shared the head of the Norilsk territorial department of the Krasnoyarsk region registry office Irina Shtuchnaya.
According to her, February 22 is a weekday, which also affects the ability and desire of Norilsk residents to get merry on the day.
Meanwhile, ad services offered to get married on a mirror date for money. The authors of the ads promise to reserve a place for the day in the queue at the registry office for a fee. Experts warn Russians that such schemes are impossible: newlyweds cannot rebook the wedding date from third-party sellers, since personal data have to be filled in when applying for a marriage.
Interesting, the combination of numbers – 02/22/2022 – is read the same on both sides. This happens extremely rarely: such a coincidence will occur only after a hundred years – 12/12/2121.
