#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Having outplayed the reigning champion of the Super League – CPRF futsal club – in the fourth match of the confrontation, the Norilsk players brought the score in the series to 3:1 and became bronze medalists.
After the Friday’s victory over the ‘communists’, the northerners had excellent chances to celebrate the victory in the series yesterday. At the 14th minute, team captain Danil Kutuzov, taking advantage of a rebound from a CPRF player, successfully shot on goal and brought his team forward.
Four minutes later, Zanotto broke away from his pursuer, shot from the flank into the penalty area, where Temirlan Alibekov closed the pass – 2:0. Three more minutes passed, and the score became big: Zanotto who was now assisting Alex, again played the best way – 3:0. A minute before the break, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation managed to close the gap: Yanar Asadov’s brilliant shot from an acute angle proved too difficult for Nikolay Balashov – 3:1.
After the break, the guests continued the scoring extravaganza: in less than a minute, Temirlan Alibekov completed a counterattack and Roman Bukin was at the right time in the right place – 5:1. The hosts responded to that in the 38th minute with an accurate blow to the bottom corner of the goal performed by Roul Gomez. Hoping to save the game, the Muscovites replaced the goalkeeper with a fifth field goal, but in vain: Ruslan Kudziev scored a double, and then Zanotto put an end to the match – 8:2.
Norilsk Nickel has won the series against the reigning champion and the championship medals for the first time in 18 years. Now the northerners have a full set of awards from the strongest league in the country.
