#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The traditional youth judo tournament in memory of Yury Solovey was held in Achinsk and gathered more than 200 strongest participants from all over the Siberian Federal District.
Norilsk presented 11 judokas to the competition, three of which won prizes. So, in the weight category up to 81 kilograms, the silver medal went to the pupil of the sports school №5 Dmitry Serezhkin (coach – Danis Manashov). Sergey Grebenyuk (sports school-5), also training under the guidance of Manashov, and Vladimir Nosov (martial arts sports school, coach Natalia Fedotova) fought in the weight categories up to 60 and 33 kilograms, respectively, where they became bronze medalists.

As the coach of the sports school No.5 Danis Manashov told This Is Taimyr, the competitions in Achinsk were final this year. Next time, if the epidemic situation permits, the athletes will perform in February in Krasnoyarsk at another regional tournament.

“The guys missed competing, so the participants had a great desire to win, everyone showed a worthy fight. We expected better results, but still performed well. For example, Serezhkin lacked some experience, and in the end he lost to a strong rival from Krasnoyarsk in the final”, Danis Manashov said.
