#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma obliging the creation of the necessary conditions for the indigenous minorities of the North (IMN), Siberia and the Far East to receive preschool and primary general education in the places of their traditional residence and economic activity.
Now in Russia there are 4 676 traditional families of indigenous peoples, who are raising 2 203 preschoolers and 4 366 children of school age.
The experience of regions with nomadic education has shown that education in the family is practically impossible for children due to the insufficient qualifications of parents and their employment, and distance learning is in most cases impossible due to the remoteness of the nomadic. The low level of transport infrastructure and the lack of stable Internet also affect.
At the moment, the educational process is regulated only by the regions, and the bill will determine the norms at the federal level, the authors of the initiative believe. Nomadic training has already been introduced pointwise in Yamal, the Nenets Autonomous District, the Amur region, the Krasnoyarsk region, Yakutia, the Komi Republic and Chukotka.
Let us remind you that at the federal level they have been talking about giving nomadic schools a legal status for a long time, suggesting that support for such education should be taken into a separate direction.
Earlier, This Is Taimyr wrote that Nornickel allocated an additional 100 million rubles to the communities of Taimyr: the company continues to support indigenous peoples. We also reported that Russia is preparing a new methodology for studying the languages of the indigenous ethnic groups of the Arctic. These languages were proposed to be included in the exam.
