#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. A new block-modular terminal has opened at Dikson airport. The project cost was 60 million rubles.
Last year, the Krasnoyarye Airports company, which manages the airport on Dikson island, ordered a rapidly erected prefabricated structure for the Arctic air hub. In July 2020, the installation of the terminal building began. On November 10, the two-storey service-passenger block module was accepted into operation.
The new terminal will accommodate passengers with children, police and border control officers. The features of servicing people with limited mobility are taken into account. The module for airport employees is equipped with a kitchen, bathrooms and shower rooms.
In 2018, due to the absence of hospitals and medical personnel on Dikson island, Krasnoyarye Airports introduced an automatic computerized examination system to conduct pre-trip and post-trip medical examinations of drivers. In 2019–2020, ten special vehicles were purchased for Dikson Airport.
