#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Norilsk head, Dmitry Karasev, discussed the socio-economic development comprehensive plan implementation main stages with the residents of the Norilsk central district and told what new facilities would appear.
“In December we adopted the document. It is now May, and a lot of work has already been done. By the end of 2022, we expect its first results in order to start construction and installation activities”, the Norilsk head addressed the townspeople.
The city services continue to demolish dilapidated, dilapidated housing and unfinished buildings. In 2021, the Nornickel company dismantled ten houses in Oganer district, this year – a house on Bohdan Hmelnitsky street, 14, In the central district. Dismantling of several more houses are also in the plan. New houses will appear in these places.
The Norilsk head stressed that the fire station in Oganer was built in just seven months. No one believed that such a large object could be built in a short time. It consists of pre-fabricated panels, but is built on a pile foundation with a good grillage. Now the fire department is in charge of the perinatal center, the thousand-bed hospital and the entire Oganer district, where more than five thousand people live.
A school for a thousand students is being designed in the central district.
“We are preparing for the reconstruction of the grammar school No. 4. Unfortunately, the building can no longer be preserved, but we will do our best to recreate it in the form it has always been known. Perhaps the building will be one floor higher”, Dmitry Karasev shared his plans.
At the meeting with the townspeople, the Norilsk head touched upon the topics of attracting doctors to the territory, solving the problems of snow removal and road repair, spoke about municipal programs for the city development and further renovation within the framework of additional financing by Nornickel for 150 billion rubles.
“We also want to make a new modern museum of Arctic art. The contractor selection is already underway to start designing. I hope we will open it in 2025. There are plans to build a new ice arena and a new swimming pool”, said the Norilsk head.
At the end of the meeting, Dmitry Karasev urged the citizens to maintain feedback and solve problems together. For example, Norilsk residents themselves choose objects for improvement.
