#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The tenth, anniversary season of the Media School in the Arctic is gaining momentum. More than 50 students took part in the first sessions, and there will be even more in January.
The first invited speaker of the Media School in the Arctic was Match TV presenter Emma Gadzhieva.
The next expert will be Dmitry Lukashov, the face of the country’s main sports channel, a popular TV presenter who has worked at major sporting events, including the Olympic Games and the World Cup and Hockey championships.
“Regular master classes and off-site events allow us to expand our understanding of all levels of creating media products. The participants become not only content creators, but also active conductors of the social life of their cities”, said Tatyana Smirnova, curator of the Media School in the Polar Region project and director of the public relations department of Nornickel.
“It’s great that Nornickel brings such guests to the children in the Arctic! The communications industry is developing dynamically, new formats and tools are emerging, mastering which is necessary for successful development in this area. Therefore, it is important to learn from professionals, attend all kinds of master classes, lectures and practices”, commented Igor Popov, head of the Media School in the Arctic.
By the time of graduation, students collect a portfolio that helps them in the process of entering the leading universities of the country.
