#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Surgeon Igor Anohin and anesthesiologist Ekaterina Vnukova of the Krasnoyarsk regional clinical hospital met each other while working in the red zone. On the New Year Eve, the surgeon made a proposal to his chosen one during the shift: putting a ring on a glove, through a medical respirator, he heard the cherished ‘I agree’.
The story conquered the hearts of Russians and inspired the director of the Moscow Art Workshop, Alexander Ustimenko, to create. The sculptor and his colleagues made a memorable gift in the form of a statuette of a physician dressed in personal infectious protection equipment, and named it A Hero of Our Time.
“The porcelain figure of a medic-hero will surely take an honorable place in the house of a newly-made family and will always remind them, their children and grandchildren that there are no insurmountable barriers for true love”, the sculptor noted.
