“We understand the need to train specialists from among the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation”, said the Siberian Federal University representatives. “For this purpose, the Institute of the North and the Arctic was established at the university. In addition, we have the International Northern School, which is engaged in pre-university training”.
The department of Arctic research operates on the institute basis. Its goal is to train bachelors and masters in educational programs of the northern and arctic focus. In turn, the international business school Arctica promotes the implementation of additional education programs for advanced training and training of specialists working in the northern regions.
The university carries out a state task.
