#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The comprehensive investment project (CIP) Yenisey Siberia now includes 32 projects, of which 19 with investments of 1.4 trillion rubles are being implemented in Krasnoyarsk region. The portfolio will expand to 27 projects with a total investment of 2.4 trillion rubles.
The government of the region reported that in the near future the Yenise Siberia CIP will include eight new investment projects. They will create more than 11 000 new jobs by 2040.
“Among the new initiatives are the Chernogorskoye copper-nickel ores deposit development, the Taimyr coal basin northwestern part development, the existing facilities reconstruction and the new ones construction for the magnesite extraction from the Kirgiteiskoye and Talskoye deposits, a logistics park and a greenhouse complex construction are planned in the Yemelyanovsky district. A number of projects are related to the construction of business and residential real estate in the region”, the regional administration said.
The CIP participants have already employed more than 4.2 thousand people, over five thousand vacancies are still open. In total, 70 thousand specialists will be required. Large companies signed 516 contracts with the region entrepreneurs for 11 billion rubles.
Recall that a new point of growth in our region is the Southern Cluster project. The project became part of the Yenisey Siberia CIP in 2018 and has become one of the largest initiatives.
Now, as part of the project, work is underway to increase the production capacity of the Norilsk concentrator: the next step is the installation of a new crushing complex, which will allow the factory to process up to 9.2 million tons of ore per year.
“The past year also brought a significant development of mining operations at the Medvezhiy Ruchey open pit: the first 800 thousand tons of ore were mined in new discovered deposits of the open pit, in 2023 production is planned to increase to 2.5 million tons”, said Vladimir Zaitsev, the enterprise head .
