#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The first opponent of the second round will be Dynamo-Altai. The Polar Bears (the Norilsk HC’s nickname) played their last game against this team, having achieved a hard-fought victory.
The club notes that since the start of the season, the team has played 32 matches, half of the regular season is behind them. The Bears have played one match with all teams. The results with which the Polar team approached this moment are interesting. In 32 matches played, Norilsk won 20 victories and suffered 12 defeats. At the same time, the team has never lost in overtime, but was unable to win a single series of post-match shootouts. At the very beginning of the season, the team managed to repeat its personal record for the number of victories in a row – four (Magnitka, Yuzhny Ural, Chelmet, Gornyak-UGMK). As for the losing streak, in the first round, Norilsk lost three matches in a row at the end of October (AKM, Khimik and Ryazan-VDV).
Norilsk leads the league in goals scored – 115 goals, but there are also many missed ones – 100 (seventh place in the VHL). Norilsk also leads the VHL in one optional indicator – penalty minutes: there are 355 of them.
Norilsk will begin the second round on December 13 with a home match against Dynamo-Altai. Then, on December 15, there will be a game against Novokuznetsk Metallurg; on December 17, Norilsk will host Krasnoyarsk Sokol. Then the team will have a break, which will continue with the next home series: the opponents will be Chelny, Neftyanik and Bars. The final game of the calendar year will be held on December 29.
At the moment, HC Norilsk is in 11th place in the regular season with 42 points after 32 games in the asset.
