#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Nevskoye design bureau, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, develops floating airfields for aviation. This is stated in the materials on the 90th anniversary of the enterprise.

The platforms will become a kind of centers for supporting the entire range of activities of Russia and partner countries in the Arctic, the document says.

Now the appearance of floating islands and airfields is being developed. The runways can be used in any weather conditions by the military, rescuers, used to ensure the safety of navigation of the Northern Sea Route, to perform the functions of the Ministry of Defense, and to develop new gas fields.

Nevskoye design bureau is one of the largest developers of universal ships and the only designer of aircraft carriers and training complexes in Russia. For 90 years, the company has built more than 300 ships and vessels, including the flagships of Russia, India and China.
