#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The main stage of the Krasnoyarsk metro construction has begun – excavation from the future station Ulitsa Shahtyorov. Specialists from the Bamtonnelstroy-Most group of companies have started the work.
“The construction pit is being constructed on Revolution square. The tunnel boring machine Ekaterina has been launched on Shahtyorov street. It will have to pave the way to the future station on Karl Marx street – more than three kilometers”, the Krasnoyarsk region head reported on his social networks.
The tunnel boring machine Ekaterina, named after the legendary Krasnoyarsk concrete worker, hero of socialist labor Ekaterina Skryukova, is capable of paving the way through any type of soil, while the reinforced concrete segments of the permanent lining of the tunnel will be installed at the same time.
“Following the Ekaterina, the Solomeya complex will begin operating on the same route, which will pass the left transfer tunnel. In total, six tunnel boring machines will be used during the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metro.
The Mosproekt-3 group of companies has developed a set of engineering solutions for the construction of the Krasnoyarsk metrotram’s first line. At present, ten positive conclusions have been received from the state expert review. Work is also continuing at the construction site of the future Ploshchad Revolyutsii station.
The Krasnoyarsk metrotram construction project is being implemented on the president Putin’s instructions under the Infrastructure Menu federal government program.
The first stage of the 11-kilometer line will include one surface and five underground stations – from Vysotnaya street to Molokov street.
As a reminder, old shopping arcades were found on the site of the future metro line in Krasnoyarsk. Earlier, The first airport underground station in the country has opened at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, and now passengers will be able to get to the airport or, conversely, to the capital more quickly.
