Dudinka Young curlers got bronze at Junior Nornickel Curling Cup 2024

April 26, 2024

The hot race for leadership unfolded in the first two days: three teams had three points each.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Junior Nornickel Curling Cup 2024 has ended in Dudinka – it traditionally takes place before the International Arctic Curling Cup Nornickel Curling Cup. In 2024, six teams took part in the fifth children’s tournament – from Norilsk, Dudinka, Krasnoyarsk, Kemerovo and Irkutsk.

The teams played in a round robin format. The hot race for leadership unfolded in the first two days, because three teams had three points in their assets. On the final day of the competition, everything was decided: the Krasnoyarsk team won the tournament, the silver medals went to the Irkutsk region team. The Dudinka-2 team – consisting of Natalya Kotlyarova, Alexander Podzorov, Diana Bolokan and Alexander Baglyuk – won bronze medals.

Let us remind you that from April 26 to 28, the VIII International Curling Tournament Nornickel Curling Cup will be held at the Taimyr ice arena in Dudinka. This year, women’s teams of four will compete. Athletes from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will take part in the competition.
