#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the ninth charity race Norilsk, Run With Me!, which took place on July 13, more than a thousand Norilsk residents ran the ‘kilometer of goodness’ along Leninsky prospect. A total of 2005 people made charitable contributions.
An amount of 1 703 000 rubles has been collected, which will be used to pay for treatment and rehabilitation courses for five wards of the Territory of Good foundation.
The traditional sports event is aimed at benefiting the Our Children program of the Territory of Good social programs charity fund with the aim of helping children in need of treatment and rehabilitation. This year, the race won the social project competition of Nornickel’s charity program World of New Opportunities. Thanks to this, souvenirs and a large number of new nominations were prepared.
The event is held with the support of the Norilsk administration. By good tradition, the race is supported by regular partners: NordStar airline, Aika sports hall, Rosbank, XFIT sports club.
The main prize in the form of a certificate from NordStar for a free flight across Russia in both directions was awarded to Victor Orbodoyev, who finished first. A third-year student at the Irkutsk Polytechnic University, Faculty of Mineral Development, recently arrived in Norilsk under the Profstart program. The airline will also sponsor rehabilitation trips for five children in need – the Territory of Good foundation wards.
For the first time, the call to go for a run in order to raise funds for the rehabilitation of the charity fund’s little wards was made in 2016. At that time, 1200 people responded to it. The record race took place in 2019 – 5200 participants.
