The experts will create a database with the results of international scientific research.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Such a register will help preserve the traditions and customs of the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East, experts say.

“It is proposed to continue work on the creation of a database of international scientific projects in the Arctic region together with France”, TASS quotes Andrey Bryksenok, deputy director of the Russian State Hydrometeorological University in Moscow, who participated in the meeting of senior officials on the coordination of scientific research in the Arctic.

Such a platform will help not only preserve, but also promote the traditional knowledge of the indigenous peoples of the North. It will also allow solving problems related to improving the quality of life of the population living in the Far North, the authors of the initiative believe.

Earlier, we reported that a special Peoples of the North tariff for small indigenous ethnic groups appeared in Moscow hotels. Also the Ministry of Education has begun to create a commission on the languages of indigenous peoples.
