In Norilsk, the territory near Bogdan Khmelnitsky street, 12, behind the school No. 5, is being equipped as a place for recreation. Previously, there was a lawn with an old curb, but residents of neighboring houses have repeatedly asked to improve the site.
The site was demarcated, the department of improvement of the city housing and communal services filed documents for ownership registration, the city took the territory for maintenance. According to Anatoly Golovnya, the chief specialist of the improvement department, a curb was arranged there in summer, benches and garbage cans will be installed next summer. Flowers will be planted on a round flowerbed in the center of the space, and the side lawns will also be greened.
“I hope that in the future, with the support of the Nornickel Polar Division, the surrounding houses will be repaired under the housing renovation program and the territory will get a new look”, he explained.
