#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. This year, the oldest applicant to the Siberian Federal University is 75-year-old Victor Vladimirovich, a native of the Novoselovsky district. The pensioner dreamed of entering the Institute of Space and Information Technologies of SFU for software engineering, computer science and computer technology. But, unfortunately, he did not have enough passing points.
“This story, the desire for knowledge touched the Krasnoyarsk residents and the university management so much that a unanimous decision was made to grant Victor Vladimirovich the right to study in the professional retraining program Software Development in Python at the Institute of Continuous Education of SFU”, the university’s press service said.
This 256-hour course is popular. After completing the course, students receive a state diploma.
The admissions committee could not reach the future student by the phone number he had left in the application. SFU published information asking for a response. A day later, the student was found.
“Friends, the legendary theory of six handshakes has worked! As a result of yesterday’s post, our unique applicant has been found today, and we can present him with a certificate for training”, SFU said.
