This year, the Boris Molchanov Children’s Art School in Dudinka received new musical instruments, equipment and teaching materials costing more than four million rubles.
New accordions, balalaikas, button accordions and tambourines, bargans, baritones and domras, violins, classical guitars and pianos, saxophones and flutes were purchased for the school. In addition, an interactive whiteboard, a multimedia stand, a drawing, patterning and cutting table were purchased. All that was bought with the help of a subsidy allocated in 2020 from the regional budget within the Development of Culture and Tourism state program of the Krasnoyarsk region.
According to the Taimyr administration press office, the old musical instruments in the school have developed their resources. The acquisition of new ones will improve the quality of training for future musicians and keep up with the times.
Recall that the Children’s Art School in Dudinka has existed since 1965. At first it was just musical. Now 785 students study at the school in the areas of artistic creativity, choreographic art, musical instruments (piano, guitar, button accordion, domra, violin, drums), early artistic development.
In 1999, the school was named after the famous Dolgan artist Boris Molchanov. In 2018, a branch of the educational institution was opened in the village of Volochanka. We recently wrote that there was a children’s open-air.
