#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Vostok Oil company, which is engaged in the new Arctic project of Rosneft, has discovered a new unique field with oil reserves of 511 million tons in the Zapadno-Irkinsky block of Taimyr.
It is expected that this field at the first stage of implementation will be the flagship for the organization. In addition, it will include the Neftegazholding’s Payahskaya group of fields which has more than one billion tons of oil on the state balance sheet.
It is assumed that Vostok Oil, within the first stage, will ensure the production, transshipment and transportation of 50 million tons of oil, and in the second – up to 100 million tons. At the same time, Rosneft has promised to ship 30 million tons of oil along the Northern Sea Route in 2024.
