Under the theme Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Urban Development in a Post-Pandemic World, the commission concluded that Norilsk is ‘an example of a successful specialized area where a comprehensive plan for social and technical urban development is being implemented in order to increase industrialization and create new jobs’.
Recall that in Norilsk, the municipality, together with the federal government, the Krasnoyarsk region authorities and the Nornickel company, have developed a comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of the city until 2035, which involves investing 120 billion rubles in the renovation of infrastructure and housing stock in Norilsk.
