#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. New hotel complexes, a plant for the abrasive materials production, a trout farm, a dairy farm, an eco-plant for processing recycled plastic materials, a camp site, a bakery and confectionery, mobile retail outlets and a cafe on wheels will appear in the district.
In total, about 200 applications were received for the competition, the leaders were projects from the spheres of tourism and production, as well as environmental focus. 24 projects reached the final, of which 11 were recognized as winners. It is planned that all initiatives will be implemented during 2021, which will create about 150 new jobs in the district.
Norilsk Nickel allocated 184 million rubles to finance the projects. All winners of the competition have loans of different sizes. The entrepreneurs will return them gradually – when they start making a profit.
We add that the competition for interest-free loans is part of the economic development concept, which was developed by the municipal and regional authorities together with Norilsk Nickel for the Pechenga district last year. Earlier, in 2019, the government of the Murmansk region and Nornickel signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing the region, including the closure of outdated production.
