#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On the Yenisey in 2024, 20 cruises of varying durations are planned – to date, 61 percent of trips from the total planned sales volume have been purchased.
This summer, a unique version of the famous Yenisey expedition on the motor ship Maxim Gorky will be available in express format for six to nine days, which is much more affordable. In the upcoming season, the tour operator is offering six express cruises of Yenisey expedition with or without a jeep tour to the Putorana plateau.
The main criterion in developing an excursion program in remote regions is not so much the high throughput of sightseeing facilities or the convenience of infrastructure, but rather maximum authenticity and preservation of local flavor. Guests come to get acquainted with a new destination primarily through local residents, original culture, regional cuisine and customs. When creating a new tourism product, the operator strives not to lose the regions’ unique features and cultural code.
“Travel to the North is in high demand among our clients; it is a real exotic in the collection of cruise travel. In the near future we are planning working trips to Arhangelsk and the Murmansk region to assess the tourism potential and prospects of cruise tourism. We do not stop at the above-mentioned points and are ready to consider other possible anchorages in the Arctic zone for their further integration into cruises”, Lilia Danilenko, senior manager of special projects at Vodohod LLC, told the industry publication Russian Shipping at the XIX international tourism exhibition Intourmarket.
Earlier, we wrote about the growing popularity of expedition tours in Russia.
